Tangier Mar 28, 1944) – Mrs. Maggie Millikin DeVaun, 48, a lifelong resident of Liberty Twp died Monday morning at 10:45 o’clock at her home two miles southwest of here. Born July 28, 1895 she was the daughter of William and mamie Feeley Millikin. She was married Dec 26, 119 to Almo DeVaun, who preceded her in death in January 1943. She was a member of the Fairview United Brethren Church and of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. The survivors include four children: Staff Sgt Howard DeVaun of Foster Field, Tex; Mrs. Retha Hadley of Terre Haute; Ray DeVaun of Montezuma and naomi at home; her father, William Millikin of near Tangier; three brothers, Vernie Millikin of Tangier; Kenneth Millikin of Chicago Heights, Ill; and Robert Millikin of Yeddo; two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Commons and Mrs. Waneta Cory, both of near here and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wed afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Fairview Church with the pastor, Rev. BH Spratt in charge.
